Sad Lovers and Giants - 'Epic Garden Music'

Another post-punk outfit I saw on the 80's College circuit. This is their debut album where their sound reflects various influences such as The Cure, Teardrop Explodes and The Smiths. They settled down into an atmospheric Goth sound and are still active, having released an album as recently as 2018.

There were a couple of good early singles - especially 'Colourless Dream' and 'Lost in a moment'

'Weird Scenes Inside The Goldmine' (a Doors compilation) followed by Little Feat's 'Dixie Chicken'. Yesterday I was mostly listening to Emil Gilel's recordings of Beethoven's piano sonatas.
