Quite why protocol demands Ian Blackford has to soften his speech I don't know. What I do know is Ian Blackford is telling it as it is.

As people who follow British politics will know only to well, this is by some distance, the most incompetent, dishonest, self serving government in modern history and they are systematically debasing the standards of British politics to a level that makes me embarrassed to say I am British.

The pretence of decorum is required to prevent the whole thing from collapsing...

Honestly, if you were Johnson, would you want this woman "supporting" you?

The media must love interviewing her because she is totally incapable of making sense for anything other than a few minutes. On wider front people like her, Truss and Patel are doing huge damage to image of female UK politicians, especially when consider the positive role models provided by women like Angela Merkel & Jacinda Ardern. What we would give to someone as honest and thoughtful as Ardern to be the UK PM.

It makes more sense when you consider the fact that Johnson has a track record of promoting incompetence to make himself look "better" by comparison.

I am coming round to the view there is a cabinet "dumb ass" of the day rota in play, todays buffoon is the wannabe PM, the one and only Liz Truss who was earlier today publicly shamed by her Russian counterpart.

Maria Zakharova, Russia’s foreign ministry spokeswoman, took Liz Truss to task over her comment that “we are supplying and offering extra support into our Baltic allies across the Black Sea”

“The Baltic countries are called so because they are located precisely off the coast of this [Baltic] sea. Not the Black [Sea]. If anyone needs to be saved from anything, then it is the world from the stupidity and ignorance of Anglo-Saxon politicians”

Makes you proud to be British eh

She would not have done very well at trivial pursuit at the lockdown parties.

Trivial Pursuit is a very apt game for the cabinet. I imagine if she was playing she would have automatically said.

A) She didn't say it
B) She was misunderstood
C) She is right
