Badger - White Lady

I recall kids being into this band when I was at school. Came across them reading the Yes section of the prog book I had for Christmas. Badger were co-formed by Tony Kaye when he was fired. A bit of uncertainty about the reasons which seem to be a combination of an apparant dislike of synthesisers, keeping Steve Howe awake by bringing girls back to hotel rooms and band members wanting to bring in Rick Wakeman. Wakeman had the choice of Yes and Bowie choosing the former as he would be more involved in the creative process. Wakeman made a major contribution to the Hunky Dory album which is one of Bowie's best. He would not have fitted in so well on the rockier more guitar driven Ziggy Stardust. It was a good outcome for both Yes and Bowie.

Tony Kaye and Billy Sherwood have a Yes-splinter group they call Circa (Alan White plays on the first album as well). Excellent high-energy prog - I keep forgetting that it isn't Yes when I play their music.

New solo album from Elton John's long-time guitarist. It arrived yesterday, and this is the second playthrough I'm giving it. Quite widely varying styles, but still manages to sound homogeneous.
