Nektar 'Book of Days' (2008)

Image

Bringing in a bunch of new musicians, Roye Albrighton and Ron Howden came up with a superb album that balanced 70's Prog majesty with modern Rock stylings. 'Book of Days' is full of highlights like the infectious beat of 'Doctor Kool' (an ode to the joys of plastic surgery) and the 11-minute powerhouse of 'The Iceman'.

Spinning now on expensive-looking gold vinyl.
