I was listening to ARC's live recording 'Church' this afternoon - Mark Shreeve and Ian Boddy doing some great atmospheric/sequencer stuff.

At first I didn't used to like 'Phaedra' much but now I play it quite often and it's become one of my standard Hifi test discs. 'Exit' and 'White Eagle' were the albums that really got me into TD and my liking of the Baumann-period albums came later. KS I discovered with his '... Live ...' Double LP. And I soon picked up on his entire catalogue before that.

There's so much good music out there, other favourites are Michael Hoenig 'Departure from the northern wasteland' and Ashra 'Blackouts'.
Time to settle down now with a book, glass of wine and some good sounds, cheers. :guiness;

Typical when I'm brassic until next weekend.......

Been loving TeeDee's Mala Kunia 'cupdisk,' which has leapfrogged Mark Shreeve's Redshift project for me. Ulrich Schnauss is a very respected and regularly played artist down my way and his influence on TeeDee has been very beneficial I think. There's a wonderful pic of Peter Baumann back with Ulrich and Thorsten, working on some musical sketches left by Edgar after his untimely death earlier this year (he'd looked seriously unwell/underweight for some months beforehand after his bad fall IMO) and I look at this pic with deep affection and sincere thanks...

That's a Mini-Moog, not the huge Modular IIIC as used by TeeDee, Klaus Schulze and Keith Emerson, as well as Mark Shreeve (Redshift).

Been playing too much Redshift lately and downloaded a rare track from Edgar and Jerome Froese (look on Moonpop website). More of a track for fans of the pair, but the pic of Edgar from the back shows that I think he was rather ill long before the disastrous jaw-breaking fall early last year, certainly compared to the hale and hearty Edgar from just a few years ago, photo'd with long-term fans..
