Had a good session here on Wednesday with cyclecoach (Mark) listening to the new birch-ply Cubes.
Best sound has been achieved with spiked stands coupled to floor and de-coupling pucks between speakers and top of stands.

That "Class D" does sort of leap out and poke you in the eye, doesn't it?

I think I am, and am very grateful for your help and advice. I have the basis of amplification that I like and it sounds very much like what I was looking for. The Sumiko appears to have settled in, or my ears have adjusted to it!
I think the "thiness" on the "Tedeschi Trucks album Revelator album might be the production but I ahve increased the tracking weight on the sumiko and appears to be delivering a bot more bass. I also think modern presssing's are lacking the qulaity of some older stuff. I am just playing Farewell Angelina by Jona Baez on VANGUARD records and the quality is fantastic.
Happy days

Beast is the correct word Savvy
and he's put on a bit of weight since I last saw him.

I think the integrated statement is the same weight it's always been...
