Paving stone (or two) from BQ or Homebase, a couple of quid, Lack table on top of it.

I'm sure you're right, but I can't imagine having paving slabs on top of a nice carpet will be very wife friendly :shock:

Tried that it did not work* . As pictures show it is now on top of my heavy storage unit laden with lps'. it also sits on top of wooden box filled with sealant , then sand and 14 tennis balls .

In terms of sound and isolation of the needle from toddler dq's dancing this as been the best solution.

* my floor is very very springy .

Decorative patio stone tiles, more money, more attractive. There are some beautiful Italian fired ones, they are like works of art. Or marble or slate.

Use slate plinths from your local stone merchant. Very wife friendly!
