Jaki Liebzeit - created the 'motorik' beat and was one of the instigators of the Krautrock scene.

Maggie Roche - didn't she once have a fling with Robert Fripp? Still got their 1st LP somewhere.

2017 off to a flying start. Everybody loves you when you're dead. Rest in peace, all.

I've loved Can and their music since I first heard them. Jaki's metronomic drumming was a huge part of my musical learning so in a kind of way, I've loved his work all through... Apparently, he was an adventurous jazz drummer and when in Can, was asked to play it down and basic-clean (I forget the term he used in an interview) and that's what he did. Stunning stuff he did with them...

Now the news says Gordon Kaye (Allo-Allo) has passed - effin' brilliant :(

RIP all as above

Didn't Gordon Kaye come from Huddersfield? Almondbury or something like that.

Made important contributions to some of the Sabbath albums. Another sad loss.

R.I.P. Jonn Wetton
John Wetton, a progressive rock figurehead who performed in bands such as King Crimson, Uriah Heep, and Roxy Music before leading the supergroup Asia in the 1980’s, has died following a battle with cancer. He was 67 years old.

John Wetton !!!!!! Oh, no.

I had a massive fixation on his music only a few short months ago and am/was an enormous admirer of both his vocal and bass-playing abilities.

It's going to be a sad evening of King Crimson and Asia.

Farewell.
