No it wouldn’t, having kick and toms on one channel restricts the ability to change the mix, the drummer isn’t in the best position to do that. Maybe the answer is electronic kick drum and toms which would only require one channel. Electronic snare drums and cymbals are just not good enough yet so that would have to stay traditional.
Or get rid of the drums altogether?
