Had a very suspicious email saying there is unauthorised activity on my Paypal account from Argentina with a link to rectify it. NO WAY would I access it. Went into the account by the usual means and everything is as it should be. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

First time this has happened to me in a long time and it was not in the spam folder. The bad grammer and spelling Argentina with a small a were give aways.

Yep, mostly straight to spam, but the occasional one makes it into the inbox.

Genuine Paypal emails will know your full name and never ask you to download anything. Highlight or click on the senders email address then copy and paste it into Notepad - the real email address of the sender will then be displayed.

There has been problems with Sky Broadband recently and we have been affected. I had a phone call from someone saying they were from Sky and could improve the connection. They sounded very convincing and I was taken in for a while and started following instructions on my PC. What they wanted me to do seemed strange and I got suspicious, more so when I was not getting very far (my computer glasses needing repair) and they were getting annoyed. I suggested they were not Sky and the call ended. Had we not been having problems I would have twigged sooner. Be warned.
