It is a genre that is being copied but this still seems to be the most successful one. Take some vaguely known prats or failed semi celebrities to partner with an expert and make fools of themselves. The thing that is beyond me is why anyone would waste their time watching something like this.

BUT as I say, I am in the minority (normal position for me) but if the program was about the experts only and not hyped up with bullshit I might watch it, apart from I have absolutely no interest in dancing apart from ballet, now THAT is real dancing.

So next will they corrupt that up as a farce as well and get old newsreaders to dress up in a tutu and fall over trying to do points

Been a great night tonight. I've enjoyed every performance. It started me thinking of who I'd like to see on next year. A few thoughts:

Johnny Vegas: I'd fork out for pay per view to see this. It will probably never happen because I reckon the public would ensure he won.
Vic Reeves: the thigh rubbing would be worth tuning in to.
Ainsley Harriott: he couldn't keep still while cooking, so he's gonna be a natural.
Stephen Merchant: He reckons he can dance. With his frame, I'm sure it would be memorable.
Rob Brydon: He already looks like Anton so I'm sure he'd mimic him.
Sarah Millican: Words cannot describe how much fun she'd bring.
Harry Hill: I reckon he'd be a bit of a dark horse.
Vanessa Feltz: just to see her voted off in wek 1. Pair her with Brendan, they deserve each other
