What annoys me is that public services are cut back because supposedly we "can't afford it ". That is bollox. There is a magic money tree, we have a sovereign currency and can magic any amount of money into existence. The government doesn't have to wait for your taxes to spend money on things. Ten's of bilions into their mates pockets at the drop of a hat. Hundreds of billions on a stupid high speed rail vanity project.
The only thing taxes are for is to control inflation. The population is fooled into thinking the economy works like a household budget, it doesn't. Austerity and tax rises are just a cover for fingers in the till and siphoning more money to the so called elite. It's ffing disgusting whilst the ordinary person suffers.
