Reading 77 was my first and last big festival. It pissed it down so much on the Thursday and Friday that the place became a swamp and we quickly give up any idea of camping and slept in the car until the car started to take in water. Great line up but very mixed memories, missed a few decent acts due to the inevitable "wear & tear' One of lads with us slept in a loaned shopping trolley to avoid the water

I've got three that were bought for me as a child, over 60 years ago, and some more I bought in the seventies. I've never won anything either.

Senile old git had to look up the venue and date on Wikipedia - Apparently 5th Dimension and 27th Sept 1967 - getting the year right is a bonus!
