Thanks, but far from it. A lot of stuff was never written down in the day it was just assumed that it was common knowledge, a lot of this has been lost and slowly discovered again.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote:Well we have chapter and verse on valve amps here with Lurcher.

There are a lot of info in there, but Bell Labs did a lot of things that were aimed at telephone use that ended up at Western Electric that was ignored in later years.

Would that be what causes some valves to ring?Lurcher300b wrote:There are a lot of info in there, but Bell Labs did a lot of things that were aimed at telephone use that ended up at Western Electric that was ignored in later years.

I think I might be in the HiFi trade.
I am not currently seeking treatment for this.

Does anyone have an image, or link to one, showing a copper amp circuit ?

Re: Chapter and Verse on Valves
You'll need to trawl back on AOS to when Marco was re-capping his with gooey designer stuff, dedicating a whole thread to it. Loads of pics then, but I do remember it being very simple underneath and very neatly made.

Couldn't track it down, never mind , I did come accross an image of Marco's two seater listening position....

I take it that he needs the full width in order to accommodate his Great Fat Ass , where do guests/prisoners sit![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon/mrgreen.gif)

That's it? That's the famous listening room
I doubt one could swing a mouse in there, let alone a cat.
My walk in wardrobe is about the same size and probably has better acoustics
Also, why so many isolation stands? For one it looks ridiculous, never mind how much they cost (unless he bullied his way to a "fat" discount?).
