Re: Site Maintenance
Sorry Clothy, no spike in lurkers. Hanging around 50 per usual. Just a hiccup somewhere down the line, it happens sometimes. I often think it is a miracle the web works at all. Anyway seems to have cleared now.

Well, it must have been my aura then. Electricity going haywire in my wake. Maybe Serge could explain it.

Re: Site Maintenance
SQLi 1040 error appears to be a hosting problem. Has it now gone away?

Re: Site Maintenance
The hosting provider experienced a Distributed Denial of Service attack last week. What this means is that someone directs so much internet traffic at a site that it fails to respond. That particularly affected this site (because other sites we have hosted there were not affected at the same time). I was told yesterday that this site had been hacked. By the look of it by someone who's purpose was to push spam. So I'm guessing that the DDOS attack was a cover to crack the hosting of the site. To recover, we've had to go back to 17th May. So apologies for missing posts and a couple of missing memberships.
I shall be at the hosting suppliers to find out what they are doing to prevent this happening again.

Problem not solved, bit of a disaster really. Only the portal page is loading correctly. I thought we had back up of content.
