Re: Should the 5 min rule stay
Jammy I would leave off until you sober up, Selby has already replied on the AoS thread but you just don't remember. And please stop calling everyone cunts otherwise I will be forced to remove the word. You have been given an awful lot of rope tonight, I am personally surprised Slinger hasn't modded you after you calling him a cunt. Me you can call a cunt as many times as you like, because I know it is just a Jammy on a piss-up insult.

Not a clue perhaps Terry or Slinger will comment.Shevans wrote:anyway to hide users names unless you are logged in?
Or create a users only area that need you to be logged in to view?

Elsewhere on the Web can could have its permissions altered so Guests cannot view. Then if its still a problem you can check the logs, see who viewed what and when and work out who is Marco or his mole.

Re: Should the 5 min rule stay
It would completely defeat the object of EOTW if it was made a members only room. Its purpose only works with free viewing.
If we did it then it would just be the censorship Marco is after. He really couldn't care less what our member read he is angry that his members can read about what other people think of him. They have already tried to isolate us as much as they can so AoS members can't find us or read us, this rule of yours would be perfect for him.

True, just thinking out aloud. Hiding users names / avatars would be the best route as you become anonymous unless the viewer is logged in.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote:It would completely delete the object of EOTW if it was made a members only room. Its purpose only works with free viewing.

Only 9 votes, does this mean the question is just not important to you. I suppose I should have put a "I couldn't give a toss" option.

Re: Should the 5 min rule stay
I think 5 minutes is enough time. Not too worried about being bullied, if I want to write something I will.
Allowing editing quite some time after a post is made can make threads very confusing.

Re: Should the 5 min rule stay
The fact that such a defensive action has to be taken highlights the pitiful and dictatorial mentality that uses school playground bully-boy tactics to impose its will on other people.
Shameful.
Have to agree, Doc, that this is the best method to stand up to the rot and decay.

Re: Should the 5 min rule stay
It would be better if we could apply the rule only to members not banned from AoS but it is not possible. But at least it highlights the games they are playing with us for the AoS member who know us or have found us to read.
The success of EOTW is not based on the members reading it but the number of lurkers reading it which is large!
