A nice glass of Oloroso as an aperitif, an absolutely gobsmacking Gewürztraminer with dinner, and I'm currently enjoying polishing off the glass of Moscatel I had with my figgy pudding, vanilla cream, and vanilla custard,

A few bottles of Hobgoblin. Cost far less than a pint at Cheltenham.

The first one's a Sherry, the second is my favourite white wine, and the last one is a 15o proof dessert wine.

Ending Christmas evening with a first taste of Old Pulteney Single Malt.

Spicy, sweet and a hint of Atlantic salt.

This is against my nature but I went to the pub with my family and met some friends. I didn't love what it cost me but I absolutely loved catching up with these people, all of which I either met at school or in the pub age 16

I'm off the lager and back on the ale. Tonight's delight was Silver Knight 4.3%. Highly quaffable. Had four pints of that and now back home and enjoying some Liberation ale. See you on the other side brothers after I have probably crawled to bed.

Enjoying Hopping Hare. I like Badger beer and bought a couple of crates cheaply at our Costco Christmas shop. Had a couple of Speckled Hens in the afternoon after my horse came in at Newbury. : :guiness; The culmination of quite a good year on the gee gees.

A couple of cans of Hobgoblin Gold. Not bad.

In the villages here, NYE tends to be small family gatherings...then, tomorrow, nearly everyone goes on an all day session around the pubs.
