Well I'm playing it now. Definitely from the weird to the wonderful. Rickie Lee Jones had me reaching for the cover to find out who on earth was singing!

Just giving this a listen.

Emotion and Commotion

Jeff Beck, not cool when I was a lad, but he's matured well, and I'm a big fan of his newer stuff. I also have a 180g pressing of his 'Performing This Week... Live at Ronnie Scotts'. Great chill out music :guiness;

Scottish export product Chvrches released a rather good album last year. 'Every Open Eye' is a bit more restrained than the desperate passion of their debut 'The Bones of What You Believe' and is well worth a listen if you like the Eurythmics / Depeche Mode school of superior synthpop.
Singer Lauren Mayberry has a pretty voice than can launch onto powerful soaring heights when necessary, I keep thinking of the Cocteau Twins' Liz Fraser, but less affected.

Van Der Graaf Generator fans should check this out, a 2CD+DVD package of the 3-piece lineup recorded at a special live session/concert in the winter of 2010.
Hammill, Banton and Evans in top form running through a mixture of old favourites and new material from the 'Grounding in Numbers' and 'Trisector' albums.

Seems to be available for a bargain price as well. :grin:

Nine Inch Nails 'Hesitation Marks'. This album is a real speaker work out and I'm enjoying every second of it through these Allison's.

REDSHIFT - Ether
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...The time has gone, The song is over, Thought I'd something more to say...
