Personally I like 'On the Road' with its' LP-side-long extended jams that range from funk to jazz to space to rock to folk.

Anyone needing an instant Traffic CD collection should look here:

https://www.dodax.co.uk/en-gb/music-cds ... BK7B4O2VG/

A set of 5 albums for (at this moment) only 8 pounds.

Includes John Barleycorn and Low Spark.

I've got that set. For the money, it's a no-brainer.

The "On The Road" album features Barry Beckett, David Hood, and Roger Hawkins, all from the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. The only way Traffic could get them to tour was, because Muscle Shoals Studio was so popular, to pay Beckett and his fellow Muscle Shoals Studio owners for rental of their studio while they were away on tour.

Love the Band and Steve W in particular. Haven’t got all of their albums but those I have keep me happy.

Steve W was/is excellent on his own.

It seems that Steve Winwood also played with Hendrix (organ on Voodoo Chile). Played with Clapton, Ginger Baker and loads of other prominent musicians.

And he was in the supergroup Go with Stomu Yamashta.

'Go Live from Paris' is an absolute blast.

Nice one Fret. I will have to stop talking about moosic because my wish list is getting rather big now. Michael Shrieve is one of the best drummers ever.

By the way Fret - 7 more posts and you have hit 5000. :guiness; Can you do it before midnight ?

Hadn't spotted that, Stu.

It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it.
