Not mentioned yet: "The 13th Floor Elevators", first band Roky Erickson was playing with, three great albums in the Sixties, especially "Bull of The Woods":

1966: The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators
1967: Easter Everywhere
1968: Bull of the Woods

I got orig press of the first 13th Floor Elevators. (Came from a radio station wot went under). Some maintain this is the first instance of the word "psychedelic" appearing on a record sleeve.

I don't particularly like this group, but, to be honest, even though my knowledge of psych is deep, somehow I don't believe I ever heard their "Bull of the Woods" lp.

Its the friggen jug.

'Bull of the woods' is more relaxed, has a certain coolness, wether the other two could sound a bit stressed in some parts, but in my eyes excellent as well in any way! If you don't know it, listen to the later Roky Erickson. My favourite is 'Casting The Runes' played together with the 'Aliens'.

Sorry, have to correct myself: "Casting the runes" was with "The Explosives".
