I be a goat , it would be appear to be suspect if my cursory googling is accurate :D

When I was living a rock star lifestyle I lived for a couple of years in central Manchester , 1 minute from china town , you could never miss the new year and it was lots of fun , now it would have passed me by if it wasn't for this thread .

We already have two new years celebrations in this family so no problem with a third.

For those that don't know Russian / Orthodox New Year is a different date to ours on January 14th. They use the Julian calendar (Julius Caesar) where as we use the Gregorian calendar (St Gregory).

The Gregorian calendar put in leap years to correct the anomaly.
