£550 for this? How can people be so dense! It was so comprehensively outclassed by an NVA AP30 back then, and also lost to pretty much every other competitors amp at the time too. For that matter, if someone wanted to buy Naim, get a 42/110 which will bury the Nait and cost £200 less.
The Nait was considered an eccentric curio at the time, yet now it's become the holy grail in hifi. It's this kind of bullshit, fuelled by know-nothing trendies that really pisses me off.
For god's sake have people no creativity or imagination? You could probably buy five competing amps off EBay for the same price and every one of them would leave this weedy little specimen for dead. Of course, they probably want the Nait to sit beside their newly purchased LS3/5As.

Funnily enough I can't stand Rolex either. And don't get me started on Rolex and Breitling prices on EBay. Nait x10 would be a fair analogy.
Re: NAIT: April Fool prices all year round
Back in the early nineties I had a secondhand Nait 1, I paid £75 and thought I had been ripped off at that price, I sold it for about £60, so WTF is that example doing at £550, do these people have no sense.

It's all about branding. Now tell me this, is your bog branded? Seriously. Because I bet you can remember when it was.
Armitage Shanks. Just plain Vitreous.
But they aren't now.
Why?

I see a box with a few components in it, others seem to see an Icon. And as with all religious objects there is no logic in anything about them. So just laugh and be pleased you are not such an idiot.
