I haven't had a holiday "away" for well over 10 years. Jeanette wasn't well enough for quite some time, and after she died there seemed little point (or enthusiasm) to bugger off somewhere strange on my own. I can get solitude at home, so why pay somebody else' for it?

Yes, I am antisocial, so fuck off, and you're not having your ball back.

Since being retired we like to get away from the dreaty dark British winters. Prior to Covid we had two lengthy stays in Malta and a week ago I came back from a month in Kenya. My wife is staying a bit longer with family and will be back next week. We did not do much, it was just relaxing with plenty of sunshine. In the UK we now prefer quieter destinations for short summer breaks. St Davids has taken over from Torquay and Tenby.

Sense prevails. Reported that Westminster applied pressure on the Welsh Government with a General Election this year.
