Sunday’s guitarist had one of those, great during rehearsal just noise during the service. Didn’t matter he couldn’t be heard over the trumpets and organ anyway. Nor could the bass for that matter.

I've got 5 pedals - of which 3 are echo/loopers.

Probably explains why I constantly repeat myself repeat myself.

You're not repeating yourself enough to get a Top 10 Hit.
And your words are making too much sense.

Nah! There are only two compressors, nothing like enough for "modern" tastes.

I replaced the majority of my pedals with a Line 6 HXFX. All of my pedals are in there (or thereabouts), but it performs its task in such a joyless way, I find it uninspiring.

I dislike it, and cannot warm to it. I will likely sell it at a loss, and buy all my old favourite pedals again at inflated prices.

Don’t know why I bothered.

I went in the opposite direction and dumped all my multi-fx-type boxes/pedals and, well ...you can see from my diagram above what I did. Learning what a pedal does is fairly easy (relatively speaking) and putting them together in twos or threes etc. is simply a matter of stomping on the big silver footswitches. I really don't have the time, or the inclination to learn how to get the most out of some complex piece of electronics that gives me the choice of 2000 different pedals and a whole universe full of amp and cab sims, and that's to be mastered before it's time to start downloading different IRs for the 40 reverbs which already have 120 presets each...

^^^^^

I can identify with that. As an acoustic player I have only 2 pedals - reverb and chorus. I rarely use them. I rely more on technique to change my sound.
