Actually I do the same. When a WOW moment comes and the music suddenly sounds so much better, then I will slam on some of the Hifi classics to hear what I have been missing before.

I thought that and bought a modern repress a couple of years ago. Sounds very muffled to my ears. Same with a relatively recent copy of VM/'s Moondance.
