I've got two new pending arrivals.
Julian Cope - England Expectorates. The naughty Arch Druid has snuck a new release past me, the CD should be here tomorrow, the track listing would suggest that the man is in fine acerbic form.
Hugh Cornwell - Moments of Madness. An almost completely solo effort from Hugh. I love his solo stuff, just like I appreciate the post Hugh Stranglers, I just have the nagging feeling that they would have been better if they'd stuck together.
Will report back on these when I've heard them.
So what have you guys got on order?
And what did you think of them when you got to hear them/it?
New recordings/CD's (or whatever) you are looking forward to hearing.

Yup - I go through phases like that, and then my wife complains about the ceaseless train of deliveries for a few weeks - oops....

I'm looking forward to the new live album from Samantha Fish. Full-out blues-rock guitar goddess and terrific songwriter.

At the complete other end of the artistic spectrum from Samantha Fish is electronic duo D'Voxx who have a new album imminent that is a musical interpretation of George Orwell's '1984' and authorised by Orwell's estate.
Their 'Telegraphe' has been my favourite EM album from the last few years and I am intrigued if they can succeed where many artists have stumbled (David Bowie, Eurythmics, Rick Wakeman and Anthony Phillips to name but a few).

I'll be interested to hear the new "Rubber Soul," mix, from Giles Martin, and I understand there's a new Hawkwind album due in the not-too-distant future. Only The Strong Survive, the new album from Bruce Springsteen is out in November and is full of covers of black and white soul classics, and includes two duets with Sam Moore. Eliza Carthy's "Queen Of The Whirl" sounds interesting too. It's full of new interpretations of fan-selected favourites from her 30-year career, recorded with her band Eliza Carthy & The Restitution.

They're not talking about a studio album on the Hawkwind website, and quite frankly the last one Somnia was less than stellar (if you'll excuse the pun). That said I suspect I'll still spring for new Hawkwind stuff. I'll certainly be ordering the 85 - 95 BBC stuff that your comment has provoked me into finding... On the Hawkwind front I find Alan Davey & the Psychedelic Warlords and the Hawklords to be more Hawkwind than Brockwind, but they still cut it live.

Well Hugh's Moments of Madness is OK, not quite up to Nosferatu or Guilty, but a good effort. Now where is the post lady with the Arch Druid?
