I once had the cash for an Orbe & SME. I sat down at the dealer and it sent me to sleep within 10 minutes.
YMMV
I am not the biggest fan of the Gyro either to be honest, but I was just showing what else was available at around the £2k price point. If it was me I'd go for either one of Ants Lenco's or the Technics SL1200 GR

I heard 2 x Technics 1200's at a small bake-off. The one with the standard arm and a budget moving magnet cartridge sounded like a huge wad of cotton wool had been placed in the signal path. The one with an OL modded Rega arm and a £500 Ortofon moving coil cartridge sounded crystal clear.
I've also heard Garrard 301's sound excellent. The only disappointing one featured a Rega arm and a London cartridge, which sounded like it had arm bearing chatter.
It's one of my forum cliches, but worth repeating. Once you get to the level of turntable of a Garrard 301, 401, Lenco, Thorens 124, Technics 1200, SP10, Pioneer PL71, Sony PSX6750 etc etc, assuming the turntable is in fully good working condition, it's the arm, cartridge, phono amplification, turntable support & positioning that determines which of 2 vinyl sources will sound better.

Made my CD player sound like a transistor radio.
You know this is exactly how some of my fave 1970s albums sound on CD but could never find the words to describe the thin sound. No TT here just CD / streaming but really don’t want to go back to vinyl.

Best value - vintage - buy a Lenco 75 for around £100 and send it to Vinyl-Ant for a check over, heavy plinth and better arm. Ant may have some donor units already.
I don't have any boggo lencos but i do have one spare built one, the one known as 'the lady'.
Bloody great big thing, it periodically goes out as a demonstrator or is lent out to people.
You are welcome to borrow it george if the 135 is playing silly buggers
