Should a grand piano and drum kit sound bigger than everything else? If Baldrick played his triangle how big should that be?

The “size” of an instrument in the sound stage will depend on how it was mic’d and how the signal/s were processed by the engineer. Two mics panned hard left and right will make a triangle sound huge, one mic can make a piano sound small but intelligent use of the equipment will result in a realistic “size”.
