I enjoy the diversity of it.
We should embrace the event...especially as we are keen for European doctors and nurses to continue to keep our national health service running.

Re: Eurovision song contest......!!!
You got a point if that weirdness makes EU health workers feel at home.
The winning entry had a wall of Chinese Feng Shui cats, errr....weird or what.
Frank...made me do it.

Re: Eurovision song contest......!!!
Good to see a rock band win it. Heard a bit of the song and quite liked it. Might have to start taking Eurovision a bit more seriously.
The UK got what it deserved with a dance song from a nobody. Last with nil point. Bring on Iron Maiden for 2022.

Re: Eurovision song contest......!!!
Very good show from Rotterdam (only 45 mins drive from me). A couple of really standout songs (I loved Switzerland and Iceland). The Netherlands scored badly - as predicted.
I didn't think the Italian entry was good enough to win - but the pyrotechnics were impressive. All in all the visuals and presentation of the whole show were the best of any Eurovision I have seen. And the fact that there was a live audience was a huge plus in these lockdown-ridden times.
As for the UK entry, even the British commentators said that he sang poorly and the song sounded like a left-over Stock, Aitken and Waterman number from an 80's Rick Astley album. 'Nul Points' and deservedly so.

All the UK's points are sat in customs at Calais. Problem with the paperwork.

Finland's Nu-Metal performance was actually rather good.

Re: Eurovision song contest......!!!
The singer from France made James Newman sound like a complete amateur.
The amount of pro UK bias from Graham Norton every year is quite embarrassing.
So much for the BBC being impartial.
How about the beeb geting someone that is a proper improvisial comedian to present it? Or someone that knows something about music? Or how about 2 presenters? 1 of each?

Does Eurovision need more comedy, though?Lindsayt wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 10:03 am The singer from France made James Newman sound like a complete amateur.
