Nice one CN.
Just looked at the Blue Jeans site, always confuses me, but which cable did you go for?

Re: Tinker, Tailor, Streamer, Pi.
Just having a little giggle to myself, this is what was said about the Blue Jeans cable on the group test I linked to earlier.
Blue Jeans Cable Belden 4855R SDI Cable ($21/6ft)
Some might enjoy this cable for its clarity, excitement, and quietness. It’s thin and crispy with decent imaging but completely lacks texture. This cable essentially sounds like a brighter version of the Mogami. There’s no meat on the bones so it sounds like a bunch of zombies and skeletons singing. Overall timbre is quite inaccurate to my ears. Cymbals sound like drums at times. When the music gets busy, it’s unbearably harsh. It has speed, atmosphere, and dimension but just lacks convincing density and warmth.
You cheapskate CN, you know you should pay at £100 per metre for decent sounding cable.![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon/lol.gif)

Re: Tinker, Tailor, Streamer, Pi.
For those in the market for a USB decrapifier / reclocker / regenerator. The Oehlbach XXL Masterclock has been reduced in price (again) from 199 euro to 74 euro (ex P&P).
![Image](https://www.oehlbach.com/media/articles/detail/13904_P3.jpg)
This superb-sounding little unit will (sometimes dramatically) improve the audio quality of USB connections from a PC or streaming source into a DAC.
Good cabling is also a worthwhile addition.

Meanwhile ....

Here is a pic of the AQ Dragonfly Red stuck in the back of the Schiit Wyrd - and these two units were just made for each other.
The Wyrd isn't just a datastream regulator, it is also a super-clean PSU that kicks out a generous amount of 5V DC to power a USB DAC. As we all know, digital audio devices react well to adequate, clean power supplies and can then perform at their best.
Well, I've had the Dragonfly for a while now and it has NEVER sounded this good before. If I remember correctly there is an ESS Sabre chip in there that now is running at full efficiency and churning out a sound that is full, clear and authoritative.
The Oehlbach XXL Masterclock will probably work similar wonders for this DAC.
This combo comes in at under 300 euro and will give you enjoyable auditory pleasure at a realistic price.
So there.![Dance ](./images/smilies/eusa/dance.gif)

I suppose I am a cheapskate not buying BNC cables which cost more than my DAC.antonio66 wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 8:25 am Just having a little giggle to myself, this is what was said about the Blue Jeans cable on the group test I linked to earlier.

Am very impressed with the Blue Jeans cables after more listening. A give away at the price. Makes you wonder why anyone could even consider BNC cables at more than 20 times the price. The ferrite rings arrived very quickly considering the lockdown. Can't really detect them making a difference, unlike with my previous cables. Shows the Blue Jeans cables are very well insulated against RF.
