Classicrock wrote: Fri Feb 21, 2020 6:12 pm Artist touring do not come under immigration. I doubt there is going to be an issue in them getting Visas unless they have a criminal record or are public bigots like that rapper whining about May at the brit awards. Frankly on music grounds I would have sympathy with banning rappers and sending Dave and Stormzy on the next Jamaica express.
Stormzy is British - born in Croydon. Dave is British - born in Brixton. Frankly, they are fucking brilliant

There are many people I could happily deport, though, given the chance ;)

On the subject of visas, as DQ said, we are all speculating. I speculate that it may become very slightly more difficult, for some, than it is currently.

Some people just can't take a joke. Grime I guess is just not my thing. (Yes I know they are British). We keep getting these ridiculous threads by those who want unlimited migration and haven't accepted we just left the EU. Govt are surprisingly doing what the majority voted for for once. I don't see an issue with the music industry. I'm sure most of them earn far more than £25.6K anyway and are highly skilled.

Each to their own. I save all my disgust for Phil Collins.

Face Value is a good album and In The Air Tonight a classic. I don't think grime will be remembered and played 30 yrs from now. As for opinions I've deliberately held back to respect people and not upset them too much. Could have really rammed home and taken the piss out of some of you over the election result. Pity some people just can't accept a democratic result. You can all go on remoaning but it won't change things. Nice to see politicians have calmed down and some moved on since December. Temptation to put boot through the TV permanently removed.

Most of the middle aged white men who are moaning about it will be dead by then.

Moaning is a democratic right. You'll get over it.

Well they are the government whether you like it or not. Better than under the last PM where everyone had their own agenda and the country wasn't being run at all. 3.5 years of chaos rather than strong and stable as she kept saying.
