Trivia time:
Robert John Godfrey was the 'musical director' of BJH on their first 2 albums. But disagreements caused him to leave - eventually founding symphonic-rock legends 'The Enid'. :geek:

My head is in a very odd place, musically, probably due to an overdose of psychotic/psychedelic weirdness from
The Flaming Lips.

Currently blasting the soothing and serene sounds of 'Similes' by Eluvium.
That's nice.... :romance-cloud9:

Just to square the circle, or something, Fretless... The track I picked out, "Titles" was issued as a single, which I bought, in Den Haag, in 1976. And I've only got 8 Enid albums.

Oh oh Den Haag, mooie stad achter de duinen
de Schilderswijk, de Lange Poten en het Plein

:obscene-drinkingbuddies: :obscene-drinkingcheers: :obscene-drinkingbuddies:

Bit of Dutch folk-music for you there.

The Enid - I was a huge fan - followed them around and got to help set up their concert rig a few times.
At the 1984 Reading Festival The Enid were setting up on one side stage whilst Sad Cafe were playing on the other side.
The massed Enid fans made such a noise every time RJG appeared that the other band wondered what the hell was going on!.

Amazing festival. Marillion (with Fish and Camel's Andy Ward on percussion) were stunning.

It was a good line up. A friend went and has fond memories, especially of Thin Lizzy. Black Sabbath were fronted by Ian Gillan who had to read unfamiliar lyrics. It was a bit Spinal Tap.

If you want to test your speakers bass ability then play this or the whole album (Gorillaz - Demon Days). I have played it with just my small cube 3 alike's and with the big isobaric 12" cabs. There is so much missing from the performance with just the smaller cabs.

Anyway, i like Gorillaz :text-woo:

Gong Live etc. This takes me back to my herb smoking days . Gilli Smyth sounds so god damn sexy on this track.
