I don’t much much tv. Too many vacuous celebs on there for me. I don’t mind Wild Africa type progs, anything intelligent will do.

My wife watches most of this shite too and recently she asked me why we still lived in a terraced house and drove an old banger so I told her it was because she’s as thick as pig shit and the reason why we've only ever had one decent wage coming in. I don’t think she was too happy.

  post of the day Simon.

I always thought you lived in a leafy place with a outbuilding for all your tools,
am I wrong in thinking you've got a lathe among other machinery,
if not I must be mixing you up with someone else.
Frank...made me do it.

Cheers lads. And to Admin, you're very quick to remove part of my post but quite happy to let someone else take the piss and offend me. Thanks.

We do live in a leafy place. Opposite our terraced house is green grass and trees where the railway line used to pass through. There is a cycle path at the bottom and it really is a nice place to live. Unfortunately as the older folks have passed away private landlords have snapped up many of the properties and aren't that bothered about keeping them looking nice. We've lived here for forty years but we both feel we've done our time here and if we had the money we'd move on but we haven't so we can't. Yes I do have a large well equipped workshop which I share with a good mate just two minutes away from my house. I do have a lathe too, a Harrison L6.
