OCD

Unread post by karatestu »

What's yours then? We have all got them. It is time to fess up.

One of mine is this. Anything with a numerical volume display like car cd radio player - i can not bear the volume being on an odd number unless it is 5 or 15 or 25 purely because that is half way between 0 and 10 or 10 and 20, you get the drift.

There is no help for me.

Very similiar for me and my van's mileage display. The best (or worst or saddest) was a couple of years back when the odometer and the trip were in sync ie. 123456 and 78. I tried explaining it to my wife and she just laughed and said I was mad.

Also, don't get me started on stacking the dishwasher correctly

The most obsessive thing that I do is the way that I wipe my arse. Is that an obsession, or a habit?

In the last few days I've been mixing it up, due to running out of toliet paper and have used the the traditional Indian method instead. Right hand is for eating. Left hand plus some water is for the other thing.

The most obsessive thing I do, is take my medication. That's because I'll die if I don't. The rest is just playing, so I don't bother.

My OCD has almost disappeared since I went to live abroad, although I still like rooms to be tidy.
