The Sundara are available for €349. Sounds like a bargain for a neutral headphone.
How good are the Fostex TH500rp? They are another headphone which I can get locally.
Is 140mW enough to drive them?

Re: Headphones?
Sundara likes bigger amp - but even smallest NVA will do like ap10h - as it is really a speaker amp with HP socket. BTW he400i were for 179 usd could be good choice with better pads ( still have them at Amazon US but not directly from China so probably end of life product) and will know more abour Verum 1 in 2-3 weeks ( 350usd)
Nothing to see here...

Re: Headphones?
Looks like the Meze classic 99 might be my best choice then?
I have no intention of buying a new headphone amp yet.

Re: Headphones?
Tempted by the headphone thread, can I run my dac into my SA90 pre as normal and then out to a AP 10h, or would I have to disconnect / reconnect direct into the AP10h when using the 'phones ? Which sockets on the SA90 would I use if it's possible?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Headphones?
Run the dac into the pre, as normal, connect the ap10h from the pre's tape out rca sockets.
You turn down the volume on the pre when listening through the ap10h.

Re: Headphones?
I have just ordered a set of the Sundaras.
Having read up about them on Head-Fi, along with your recommendation, they seem like the right option to me. Thanks...
