Weather

I have officially had enough of this heat now. Jesus. I am from Northumberland FFS, 18C is quite hot enough.

I cannot remember a summer consistantly this hot before. We have had no rain for 8 weeks or so. Looking ahead into next week shows no respite at all.

Argh! :angry-fire:

Strange, you're only a 'spit and a stride' over the borders and yet so different,
infact all of last week has been very comfortable in Weegie land.

I am glad I retiered last year. The Windows do not open where I used to work and the air conditioning did not work properly. There has not been anything like this since 1976 when I used to run about playing football and cricket. Got a nasty grass burn in the process. Now I'm lazing about in the garden, in the shade, doing more listening through headphones than ever. Have been going for walks early before it heats up. No need to go abroad for a holiday, Torquay coming up next month. We did the right thin spending many weeks in Malta and Kenya in the winter and Spring, although there was snow in between.

I'm not moaning about it but I would be if I was cooped up in a sweaty office. We have been going to local beaches on week days when they are not crowded. Went to Bath races with the lads last week and we are going again tomorrow. It is so high up it does not get hot, unlike Chepstow Where we nearly fried last month. Have also been doing some sea fishing as I am fair weather only and the tide has to be right. Lost a big Conger Eeel last week which would have been my fish of a life time.

It has rained a bit this morning but hardly wet the ground. Have not had significant rain for many weeks and the grass is yellow.
