First (quizzer)
Wot band is all of this?:
First rock opera
First band with a cello player as a regular member
(Possible) first band with a moog-man as band member
First band to use phasing
(Also another first -which I will reveal later cos it makes it easy.)

Pete Townshend was accused of stealing the idea from the band but can't remember the name.

Well that would have been S.F. Sorrow by Pretty Things although Townshend always denied it.Somethingfunny wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 6:47 pm Pete Townshend was accused of stealing the idea from the band but can't remember the name.
Not sure if that is the answer to Missys quiz though

Re: First (quizzer)
The Story of Simon Simopath - Nirvana? TBH I'd class it as more of a "concept album" than a rock opera though.

Re: First (quizzer)
Correct!
"Rainbow Chaser" 1968 has phasing.
The lp ,"Dedicated to Markos III" was recorded 1969, not released until 1970(on Pye, 250 copies). Moog player Alex Spyropoulos is on this "first" lp, but later he left. His uncle, Markos, was wealthy and bought him first a mellotron , then a moog.

Re: First (quizzer)
"Simopath" was released one year before "SF Sorrow".
