Re: Stoke phono bakeoff
I hope so! if not Macca can go whistle at the moon for his nva to be serviced. The ridiculous thing is they don't seem to see what a ludicrous insult it is.
I am sure Firey had nothing to do with it, as he says.
Perhaps Marco wanted to attend and bring his phono set up, well he can. I can be in the same room as him and ignore him and avoid touching him. Look at his smut posts, anyone who shakes that hand should head straight to the nearest wash basin or even A&E.

Re: Stoke phono bakeoff
I am doing this this year so if we can't find an alternative you can bring it to there.
Long time to wait though. Phono stage bake-off at a hi-fi show, that would be a first

Re: Stoke phono bakeoff
I will have four trade badges, myself and Boy Friday are doing it and obviously staying over, so I want two others to commit to help in the room so others can get breaks and look at the show etc. Trade badge obviously lets you in free and other privileges, like the exhibitors dinner and music concert on the Saturday evening. There will also be trade tickets for other members to get in free - maybe a competition for them.
ATM the plan is for the starter system to be featured inc the new Cubettes, creating a complete system (less source) including cables for £600. General source will be my computer via my cheap Chinese bargain DAC, but I want to take my Golding G99 / Neat G36 arm / Ortofon SPU Gold with probably a P3 and either PSUs or BBPSU driven to give the ultimate quality to show what the starter system is musically capable of. I value my TT at the very least at £2k, at least £1k for phono stage - £3k source feeding a £600 system - feckin hilarious TT first eh! Linn
If at a later stage bargain rooms come up I may take a second room for a TBWCT* system that can set up in the room, then I really will need help.
*The best we can take.
