Fane 12-250TC Full Range Speaker
I bought one of these twelve-inch full range triple cone drivers a couple of years ago:
Never did anything with it, but a couple of weeks ago I picked another one up, so a project has been hatched.

Re: Fane 12-250TC Full Range Speaker
Had the bare drivers running today with no baffles or anything.
Fane, claim a response up to 17KHz and they actually do treble beautifully; no need for a tweeter.
These are 98dB/W efficient so they'll go very loud on a whiff of throttle.
They are going into a retro styled, 80L sealed box.
High efficiency and deep bass are not good bedfellows, but close to wall placement should give a bit of lift to the low end.
Think, walnut, tapered wooden legs, Rexine and Tygan and you'll have an idea of the styling.

Re: Fane 12-250TC Full Range Speaker
I finally got the ply yesterday, and am starting the construction this afternoon.
Should have one box built, glued and clamped today and the panels cut out for the other box.
The other box will be glued and clamped tomorrow.
Pics will follow soon.

Speaker 2 is underway:
Brace goes in first.
Clamps are a godsend for building speakers.

Playing :
Sealed box volume calculations were spot on judging by the sounds coming from them.
Next to wall loading props up the bottom end perfectly.
I couldn't have asked for a better result.
They are just the bare cabs at the moment. The retro makeover comes later.
Vertical stripes of dark purple rexine will go up either side of the driver, with an oatmeal type grille in between said stripes.
Rest of speaker will be sapele veneer with a satin finish and there will be a plinth under the cab with a tapered foot at each corner.
This was one enjoyable build.
This Fane driver is a steal for the money.
