Well this arrived with a stylus guard, which I promptly took off as just one more thing to vibrate, standard 55E didn't have one. The only one I have seen is this one from Jico, which makes the whole deal even more of a bargain.

Mine was sat on a cabinet but I purchased a bamboo chopping board and placed sorbothane feet between that and the cabinet. I then put 4 oak cones at each corner of the plinth and placed it on the chopping board.

They say that as it is suspended ,it is less temperamental about what it is placed upon.
Empirically ,for me that is a load of shit. One reason why I decided the best thing was to part company with the springs

I will have to dye my fluffy bunnies pink then. Trouble is they don't sit still for very long which might be a problem
Chopping boards ehh, that will make the bunnies nervous
Remove the springs Not sure I would want to do that, at least until I get to know it betterDaniel Quinn wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2017 12:40 pm They say that as it is suspended ,it is less temperamental about what it is placed upon.

Alfi supplied me with some "insole" spring replacements for my fruitbox. Have not fitted them yet. Maybe he could make some for the Pink
It is a shame that this PT1 has the DC motor in the 1 o'clock position as they are supposedly better at 7 oclock. Arthur can funk these up to Anniversary beating specs (allegedly) with vector drive, moving the motor etc etc but I expect it will be a substantial cost. I think mine will be staying stock - except for the power supply which is designed and built by Les at Avondale himself. I find leaving things as stock very hard to do as I cant help fiddling about but with this I will have to resist temptation
