SteveTheShadow wrote: Sun Nov 05, 2017 4:59 pm Forum won't remember my login details. Every time I leave and come back I have to log in again. Checking the "remember me" box has no effect. I've cleared all browser cookies and it still won't remember.

I've changed the name of the cookie.......
Is this the root cause of the problem with Safari on iOS and Mac OSX high Sierra?
I'd be willing to bet that iOS 9.3.5 and MacOS High Sierra don't understand something about the cookie instruction.
It certainly isn't a browser problem, it seems to be a systemwide issue on Macs. Security incompatibility?

How about changing the cookie name back to back to what it was.

This is what Safari is seeing in the website address:

What's with the question mark after php in the HFS address?
Does Safari not know what version of php it is looking at?
Does it even know it is php?
Might explain why it doesn't understand the cookie that HFS is dropping to the browser.

I know nothing about coding so excuse me being thick but the softwre is not logging my last visited times properly.
You'd think that if you have to log in every time you visit, then the last visited time would update when you logged in.

All the bots were deactivated again. I am convinced we have a hacker in here messing us around gently for fun.

The ? is a query, what follows is the ID of the query. It's the thing that brings up the recent topics list. Audio-Talk doesn't use that.
What happens if you just type in the url (rather than using browser history to find the site for you)? hfs should be https://hifisubjectivist.org/index.php and audio talk http://www.audio-talk.co.uk/phpBB3/
It's odd that you are seeing hfs as http:// because I've done my darndest to force it to https:// (because it will become mandatory at some point).
Not sure that the name of the cookie is a problem it may be that it is a secure cookie.
