If it smells like a dog
If it looks like a dog, smells like a dog and sound like a dog then it is a dog.
Well I have reached this stage with the forum that it looks, smells and sounds like a NVA forum, so....................................
BUT nothing changes, I will try to keep nva in its room and you can talk about what ever you like or dislike, even nva.

Well Doc, I have no NVA kit (yet) but find ideas posted here invaluable. Perhaps the EL34 valve amp may give way to a pair of NVA monoblocs some time next year.

Re: If it smells like a dog
I don't think it matters doc. We are all like minded individuals.
Most people who post here have at least one NVA product, some have lots and some have none at all (LindsayT ?). Conversation about NVA obviously bleeds in to other areas of the forum apart from the NVA room. Doc mods are not in the NVA room but is what attracted me to the forum in the first place. The mods / ideas/ principle is NVA through and through.

Re: If it smells like a dog
Just that we had a label up front on the Portal page that said "this is not a NVA forum".

Of course there are source components that NVA no longer make. I`m always interested how other manufacturers compare to NVA.

Seeing as this is about the only place you can discuss NVA - and pretty well anybody who is looking for info about NVA products ends up here.

Re: If it smells like a dog
I accept that a good deal of the contributors here own NVA kit. Me included. However I find that to be coincidental to the majority of subjects discussed here. For me I find the eclectic tastes and opinions very stimulating. Personally I don't care if persons find this to be an NVA site... that's their problem not mine.
There's a freedom here that is all but absent elsewhere. That I respect and enjoy. I own a great deal of NVA kit but occasionally (and correctly) get pulled-up for postings that are outwith the democratic rules of this forum. That I respect (and sulk about... for a moment).
This is a good forum. Richard... stop fretting please.
