Brexit

Unread post by Dr Bunsen Honeydew »

Well it seems to me that history just repeats itself. Europe in one form another has always tried to bully the Brits into submission. The Spanish Kings in Elizabethan times, Louis XIV, Napoleon, The Kaiser, Hitler. They all had one thing in common - the lack of understanding of us. We put up with it to a point for an easy life and we appease, but that last step makes a big difference. The enemy now is the non democratic dictatorship of the EU executive with its Hitler as Jean-Claude Juncker and his side kick Donald Tusk.

We need to show the rest of the EU to see it, but feck'em if they don't, we have been alone before. This from a supporter of the EEC (not EU) talking, I have had enough of the bollocks, we need to go.

Blame the Conservative party for making a total balls-up of the whole process in their desperate attempt to stay in power.

The EU is looking at Britain and wondering what on earth is going on there.

We are looking at Junkers and wondering why you lot put up with him. Yes we blunder along it is our tradition, we argue over it, but quite simply no matter what bollocks is going on in the conservative party, we will not be blackmailed by these arses, who the feck do they think they are, it is their future so their responsibility it is not ours to pay for it, we should just walk away. It is time they were blackmailed back, it will be a disaster for them if we walk away, it could even pull the place apart. It is no longer friendship this is now political warfare, they can still pull back and start negotiating properly, we are putting no rules or bans on discussion they are, take those blocks away or we should walk away.

Everyboby is going to get hurt by the Brexit. Even Marine Le Pen has backed off from the idea of a 'Frexit' after seeing how badly the UK is handling the exit process.

So you believe that propaganda bollocks. There is no harm here, what are you reading, apart from amusement at the Tory power struggle, nothing has changed. It is in the interest of those who are pulling your tail to make you think that. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO ARE SCARED.

Which ever way it goes, EU seeing sense, UK saying feck you we are off. As I said in an initial post on subject here years ago, in the long run nothing will really change. In reality it has about the same importance in real historic terms as a fart in a bubble bath.

In International terms the UK is already being seen as an unstable economy, the lack of direction and leadership is weakening any bargaining position with future trade partners. Major financial institutions are leaving Britain along with multinational corporations. The Treasury is artificially boosting the home economy to give a sense of prosperity. Already Britain is asking for extensions to the negotiations because Theresa May's cabinet have no clear idea of what direction they should go.

And things are going well ... ?

The subject 'Brexit' does get me immediately into 'rant' mode and it isn't me being anti-Brit, pro-propaganda of anything. I am genuinely worried.

The British public were hoodwinked into believing a pack of made-up lies from the over-inflated egos of Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage. This led to the most stupid referendum result EVER.

The best way to change/improve a system is from the inside, not to walk away, sulking, and saying 'I'm not playing with you anymore'.

I am worried about the long-term effects of this idiocy for my family, friends, myself and all of you lot as well, honestly.

This is obviously the case and in addition the Pound has collapsed. A second referendum is required so sense can prevail. Those I know who voted Brexit now realise they swallowed lies. Was Ivor T involved with the leave campaign :x

Wake up, chaps. It is pure 'Game Theory'.

The politics and emotions can be 'made to fit' later.
