Please forgive my ignorance, but are the drivers measured as the overall width (including surround and/or attachment plate) or just the cone? :-?
I think I might be in the HiFi trade.
I am not currently seeking treatment for this.

They are listed as the driver manufacturer lists them. Tell me what dimension you want and for which driver.

It is interesting how some questions are answerable and some are not.
Does it just depend on who you are?

Doc,

mine are built and I was using them for a short while before a couple of vintage speakers came my way. One of these, the IMFs have taken up temporary residence but when I have some time around Easter they will be getting some updates, during that time I am planning to get the Doc Mod JPWs back in use. I did feel that they could be a touch strident and a bit overblown in the bass at times at about a foot from the wall but this was music dependent It will be particularly interesting to hear them again especially as I have got some TIS since I last listened to them.
Main System. Amp - Luxman LV-120, CD - Pioneer PDX505 & Hitachi DA 401. Turntable - Trio KD-2055/Denon DL-110 & Ortofon VMS20E. Cassette Deck - JVC KD A55. Speakers - Arcam Alpha connected with NVA LS3.

Headphone System - Little Dot Mkiii headphone amp, various vintage CD players into NVA P50 with Sennheiser HD600 and Beyer DT 880

Push the bass driver in and see if you hear a hiss from anywhere around the cabinets. I forget did you get Doc Mod tweeters or others. How long did you run them for, they need a couple of weeks of continuous use to run in. Un run in sounds like you heard, also a slight muddyness that disappears when they run in.
