goodmans mezzo 2

goodmans mezzo 2

i am looking at a pair of goodmans mezzo 2 to go with an ap20 and doc mods
i would like to get magnums but they are just to big could i get a simillar result with the mezzos
any advice would be appreciated

Mezzos were not in the same class, they were like a range infill, at the time the major competition was between Wharfedale and Goodmans and they copied each others speakers re position in market and price. the Mezzo was produced to counter the Wharfedale Melton. As two ways with the then available drivers it put too much strain on the tweeter for lower frequencies and too much demand for 10 inch in mid frequencies. result with both very lumpy middle :mrgreen:

You can try the Wharfedale version of the Magnum which was the Dovedale, not quite as good IMO but going for less money than the Magnums as they are getting a following.
