Re: Historic TT Project
Is this your NVA TT or your black acrylic Lenco Plinth Doc? I'd love to but the missus would kill me as I've got far too many (11) here now

Re: Historic TT Project
No it is a US broadcast TT I just cannot find time for. It is called a Rek-o-Kut rondine jr https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=rek-o ... rbCh1LCAsM
I have decided to give it up and focus on my Lenco (Goldring) G99 DSJR is going to do for me.

Re: Historic TT Project
That looks very tasty and interesting Doc a very nice idler drive project for somebody.
But you'll enjoy the Lenco G99 they are beauts - they really are. May be worth you getting a spare idler from Norbert on the Lenco Heaven forum. They are very nicely produced with modern rubber moulded tyre and smooth running close tolerance bearings.
Norbert Lenco idler wheel.
Enjoy.

Re: Historic TT Project
I have a a very nice very rare Japanese NEAT broadcast tonearm to go with it. So rare you can't find any inf about it on line. It has exact type characteristics for my Ortofon SPU Gold and my Shure M3D when I want to play the really old stuff. It wont replace my Pioneer PL71, I really can't see me selling that.
Jammy I owned a 1210 and the PL71 pisses on it from such a great height your piss monkey would run out of oxygen, and yes I compared them directly side by side swopping head shells over, AND did the same thing at Gromit's place when he lived in London and he heard it as well to back me up.

Re: Historic TT Project
Then you have a duff PL71 I am afraid, as that is an impossibility with a properly working PL71, you would both have to be deaf.
Re: Historic TT Project
Right fuk u ........
It must be true, cause you say so......
Would it be possible you are fukin wrong, and people can indeed prefer owt else..
And I couldnt care a flying fuk what the vintage knob says.
If you persist with such bull........Thinking yerself always fukin right.
Then you are making a cnut of yerself......you are infact becoming all you have been fighting against.

Re: Historic TT Project
Jeez calm down guys it's only a TT, who cares!
I'm sure a 1210 can sound great and I'm sure a Pl-71 can sound great. I love Curry, some people don't. It's all subjective and not important.
Lovely project TT by the way Doc, I wish I knew how to restore it.
