Covid does weird things in your brain. I was also very gloomy and sombre during my corona-infection. Took a long time to lift as well.

The only thing I could really taste and enjoy during the illness was Whisky and I developed quite a taste for it. I still have a dram most evenings but now purely as a medical preventative measure.

:grin: :guiness;

Yeah, brain doesn't know what's going on.

God I'm bored and I have no interest in doing anything. Might go to bed at least it passes the time.It's overcast, foggy and damp here - really fooking depressing.

Sure you would be feeling a lot worse if you had not been vaccinated. Don't know if you have had the booster, appparantly it takes twelve days to take full effect.

I and another family member developed cold like symptoms on Christmas Day and you are bound to fear the worst. We are both feeling a lot better now after a quiet Boxing Day with plans cancelled. I think excesses on Christmas Eve and day might have had something to do with it. :guiness;

I am double jabbed and was due to have the booster the same day I tested positive but had to postpone. I hate to think what it would go like without vaccine. I find it hard to understand why people refuse it.

After an afternoon nap I feel a bit better. Food today has consisted of crunchy nut cornflakes, four chocolate chip cookies and I have just enjoyed two lightly warmed up scones with butter and a packet of barbecue beef hula hoops. Plenty of paracetamol washed down with vitamin rich drinks. The scones and hula hoops were ace.

Plenty of (non-alcoholic) fluids, Stu, and eat whatever you fancy, as long as you're eating something, mate.

First day of feeling half human. I had a 10 hour sleep last night which probably helped and I feel bright and more upbeat.

Hopefully back to near normality soon.

Just take it eay for a bit, Stu. I can remember feeling a bit better, doing too much and then having a minor relapse. It comes and goes for a week or so.

Stay warm , rest up. :sad-fever:

I'm feeling almost normal now (whatever that is). Still testing positive so I am still stuck at home. Getting serious cabin fever. I have been playing my son's electronic drum kit quite a bit and spending far too much time reading and posting crap on the Internet.

Today I'm going to sort out the CD collection. Ones we don't play anymore are going in storage. I might give em a clean as well. Non of my diy hifi stuff is at home and neither is my acoustic drum kit so I can't play with them. Kids are glued to screens.

Glad you are feeling better Stu. Read on the news today that 75% of people with cold like symptoms have Covid. I had cold symptoms over Christmas, though slight and I did not lose my sense of smell or taste. My wife developed similar slight symptoms. Could be that our boosters are providing a lot of protection. We both felt far worse after the jabs.
