Just a thought - I know that in most countries' laws nowadays there is something that can be described as "causing death by negligence"
Not sure about UK in 1940s thought
- So if Churchill was not straight "murderous racist" he should be charged with mentioned earlier "causing death by negligence" at least. Fact that he "saved UK" during war somehow is not good enough argument that we should forget 3 mil deaths.
Also as Slinger mentioned :

It took Hitler a total of 12 years (from 1933 to 1945) to amass the approximated 12 million deaths in what we know as the Holocaust. Churchill managed 3 million in a year.

Simple math really - given opportunity Churchill could be responsible for 3 time as many deaths as Hitler was in the same time period...
