From day #1 of his presidency, Trump assumed responsibility for nothing, except the lies he tried to sell. Even his farewell address to the faithful dozens who came to wave him off was littered with lies and half-truths. Trump became the President of Lies. An updating of a century's-old title, or mere coincidence?

Trump and his place in the history books? He's made sure of that, but certainly not as he expected to, and he'll go on denying that he's done the things he's done, and said the things he said. He seems to be oblivious to modern inventions like audiotape, and videotape.
So there it is, but it's only, really, the closing of a chapter, and not the last we're going to hear of Donald John Trump by a long chalk. Impeachment will follow, not to mention possible bankruptcy (again), and all of the charges that his previous presidential immunity from prosecution protected him from.
By law, former presidents are entitled to a pension, staff and office expenses, medical care or health insurance, and Secret Service protection. These entitlements only apply if the former president was not removed from office by impeachment or other Congressional actions.
If and when he's eventually impeached it might be possible to remove him 'retrospectively', and an order banning him from ever running for any official office again added to the terms of his impeachment.
To be honest, though, I expect him to be long-dead before much of the legal gymnastics can begin. American justice moves at a glacial pace when lawyers are billing hourly.
So long, President Trump, hello "the defendant."
