Coronavirus contact tracing app - will you use it?
Here's an interesting dilemma.
Will you use it?
I'm undecided.

Bearing in mind the crew that's developed it, and is slurping up the data it generates, No. Effin'. Way.
I try to avoid Bluetooth anyway, as it's probably the fastest single drain on a device's charge.

Re: Coronavirus contact tracing app - will you use it?
Absolutely not. Anyway I have an ancient iPhone 4. Can’t call that a smartphone. Apple have kicked the device off iCloud and the app store anyway as they deem it such a security risk. I doubt that any app will be compatible with iOS7

Re: Coronavirus contact tracing app - will you use it?
177 cybersecurity and privacy experts have signed an open letter to the UK government asking it to ensure the contact tracing app it’s deploying to track the spread of coronavirus doesn’t then get used as a mass-surveillance tool.
The UK announced this week it was eschewing Apple and Google’s contact-tracing API to build its app, which will process users’ data centrally.
Experts warn this could create a database that could then be used to de-anonymize users.

Re: Coronavirus contact tracing app - will you use it?
Don't think I could even if I wanted to as my smart phone is not connected to a network. I only use it for playing music. My wife will not be using the app as she is woried about security.

The Dutch government are also trying to get a COVID19 tracer app sorted out.
The first 4 proposals have been rejected due to privacy issues.
Will I use it?
No.

Am I missing something. You download the app to assist you against a deadly virus and if your concerned, delete it when the time is right.

Re: Coronavirus contact tracing app - will you use it?
Stop being a bunch of wankers and do your bit and use the app. Maybe we can then get out of this lock down.
